The Hotpoint Festival Kitchen was the destination for food fanatics in search of delicious dishes at this year's Camp Bestival, which took place at Lulworth Castle, Dorset, from 30th July to 2nd August. The Hotpoint Festival Kitchen wasn't just a place to find sensational food from around the globe, it was a place to learn new culinary skills first hand from the industry's rising stars, and kept children busy with a series of interactive cooking demonstrations.
Hotpoint's Festival Kitchen had a jam-packed programme of gastronomic delights for all the family to enjoy with a series of live cooking demonstrations and interactive sessions. Camp Bestival's Feast Collective's ambassadors hosted Hotpoint's Festival Kitchen - BBC Cook of the Year, Jo Ingleby, believes food is the best way to bring families and friends together, and she really got the kids involved with something as simple as chopping up vegetables, and allowed them to take their creations away with them for the family to enjoy.
DJ BBQ also shared his secrets for cooking the perfect barbecued meat, and answered lots of questions from the keen audience.
For those of us that are wild at heart, the Hunter Gather Cook specialises in adventures in wild food, outdoor living and self-sufficiency, and hosted an educational and eye-opening demonstration. And as it wouldn't be summer without a barbecue, the Hotpoint Festival Kitchen welcomed the winners of the Food & Farming Awards Best Street Food, Hangfire Smokehouse, whose speciality is authentic southern-style barbecue food - the delicious flavours and tender meat was a smokey-taste sensation.
