This week is national doughnut week, a whole week dedicated to doughnuts!
Many bakeries will be donating the proceeds of their doughnut sales to The Children's Trust, which helps children with brain injury.
If this isn't a reason to indulge in a guilt-free treat then we don't know what is, it is for charity after all! We're having them for breakfast, lunch & dinner! At Hotpoint we love all things doughnut. We've spent the week scouring the country… ok the internet for the best doughnuts around!
Here's our top 5.
5. Crème Brûlée Doughnut at Dum Dums Donutterie, London
Dum Dums doughnuts are baked, not fried. Making them much healthier than the deep fried alternatives! Our favourite is the Crème Brulee, which is covered in a crispy caramel filled with vanilla cream. Other varieties include peanut butter & jelly and banoffee.
4. You Doughnut, handmade bite size doughnuts
We like the sound of bite-sized doughnuts and the best thing is that they are served hot. They are then smothered with your favourite's toppings including salted caramel, ice-cream, cream and much more. We are in Doughnut heaven! Check out You Doughnut's Facebook page.
3. Doughnut Burger, grab one from Ed's Easy Diner available until the end of May!
An interesting combination we can't wait to try! A sweet doughnut filled with a beef patty, bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce. Find an Ed's Easy Diner near you.2. Rhubarb & Rasberry Toasted Meringue Doughnut – Crosstown Doughnut Bars
We love this Crosstown Doughnut Bar Creation. Meringue on doughnut, what is not to love. If you don't fancy this one, why not try a Lamnut, a cake ring doughnut with a smothering of fresh raspberry jam, dipped in chocolate, then rolled around in coconu
1. Lisa Faulkners Mini Coffee and Cinnamon Duffins
We know this isn't technically a doughnut but it is our favourite!
A muffin crossed with a doughnut sounds amazing doesn't it!?
