Time Tutor - Sarah Knight
Sarah Knight is founder of Pickle Catering and a previous consultant at Leiths Food Solutions.
Following a stint working in finance, Sarah swapped her briefcase for her pinny and trained at Leiths School of Food and Wine. Following her time there, she set-up Pickle Catering where she caters for corporate events, sit-down dinners and a variety of private functions. She also has experience working at Rick Stein’s award-winning seafood restaurant and was a home economist on Saturday Cooks with Anthony Worrall Thompson.
Cooking for parties of between 10 and 250, Sarah is used to planning in advance and has perfected the art of timing when in the kitchen.
Sarah says: 'Timing makes all the difference when cooking. A common problem when you’re juggling a busy lifestyle is timing your cooking so that everything gets to the table hot.
However, it can be as simple as taking a minute to think about the cooking time required for each food item. Just taking a few minutes to plan ahead can make all the difference in building your confidence in the kitchen.'
