Hotpoint recognises that for some, family life may not be all that we want it to be. Therefore, Hotpoint is proud to support ChildLine, the UK’s free 24hour helpline for children and young people in danger or distress.

Every day, calls from around 2,300 children are answered by ChildLine. However, the enormous demand for ChildLine's service means that hundreds more children each day are unable to get through and hear a message asking them to call again later.

It costs ChildLine £3 to answer a call. So far Indesit Company and its employees have raised nearly £390,000 through sponsorship and various fundraising activities. By the end of this year we hope to have raised almost £500,000 - these vital funds could help answer more than 160,000 calls or could be used to recruit and train volunteers.

ChildLine is the UK's free 24-hour helpline for children and young people. The number for children to call is 0800 1111. Lines can be busy, so ChildLine urges children to keep trying until they get through.
