Spring is here, which means lighter nights and warmer weather. It’s also a great opportunity to enjoy lighter meals packed with seasonal vegetables.
Last week Currys hosted a spring cooking masterclass at the Hotpoint Design Centre in London.
Once Lisa’s demo was complete, it was down to the bloggers to recreate her favourite dishes. The Lemon sole en papillote oozed flavour cooked with fennel, spring onions and white wine. Although the gooey Pineapple upside down cake did steal the show - because who doesn’t love a retro dessert!
Both dishes were cooked using the OpenSpace OSD89EDE oven, which has a huge 77 litres of internal space and is exclusively available at Currys. The oven features an innovative insulating divider which gives you double oven flexibility, in a single oven space.
The divider enables you to cook two dishes at the same time, at different temperatures, without the smell or heat transferring into either zone. Once in place it creates two individual cooking zones with separate timers, and temperature control. Each zone also has its own LED light, so you can keep an eye on your food as it is cooking.
To utilise the ovens full capacity simply remove the divider and use the 4 shelves – perfect for cooking a batch of cupcakes.Discover more
