Cooker Types & Styles

Before narrowing your options, you’ll first need to determine what fuel type you have readily available. We have many oven and hob combinations that include fully gas or electric, as well as a combination of the two, this is called dual fuel. The majority of ovens now use an electric connection, while hobs vary more heavily between electric and gas.

With an electric hob connection, you can choose between: induction for fast, responsive heat and energy savings, ceramic for a stylish design and efficient cooking, or solid plate for budget-friendly and delicious results.

Alternatively, achieve precision cooking using our gas hobs that offer easy to use controls suitable for both gas and dual fuel cookers. Also make note of the size of your available space. Most cookers come in two standard sizes, 50cm and 60cm in width, with either a double or single oven.

Hotpoint Cooker Technology

The Hotpoint freestanding cookers range features innovative technology to help you prevent food failures in the kitchen.

  • Multiflow Technology (electric only): Hotpoint’s powerful Multiflow technology ensures you never have any burnt edges or raw middles. It ensures a constant and even heat throughout the oven which means that no matter what shelf you’re cooking on, you can expect delicious results every time.
  • Oven Cleaning Technology: The oven range also includes a variety of cleaning options: catalytic liners absorb fat and grease spills naturally during the cooking process, and our easy clean removable glass doors can be cleaned in just three simple steps (both electric & gas ovens).
  • Hob Technology: Features differ by hob type, but Hotpoint’s innovative solutions are available throughout. My Menu, available with induction, allows you to automatically boil, melt, keep warm and slow cook dishes without fear of burning or over-boiling, and the Double Ring Zone on ceramic heats in just 5 seconds.
